For week 7 song selection, Marty went with the alternative rock tune "I Alone" by Live. Although there are varying opinions about what the evocative lyrics are really about, Marty committed to a vision that was inspiring, giving an impassioned performance as a religious cult leader addressing his minions. Many of Marty's fans consider this one of his very best performances on Rock Star.

By special permission, MartyCasey.org has been given an exclusive scan of the front of the sheet music and the back with notes Marty wrote as part of his prep work for the song.

Here is a real goody: on the back of one of the pages from the "I Alone" sheet music, there is a note jotted that pertains to the infamous night JD Fortune and Marty snuck out of the Rock Star Mansion. Not positive which of the two wrote this, but on studying it closely it doesn't match Marty's handwriting above and based on the "Fortune" written at the top of the music sheet, it does look like JD's "t's" "o's" "n's" and "e's", so it must have been from JD to Marty. Anyway, what a find!! This helps us put that event into the proper time frame.
