Statements of Mission and a Rock n Roll Inquisition

5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1..........BLAST OFF!!

Greetings. If you are reading this then you have either been abducted by aliens or you have logged onto the all new and improved, space-aged, state of the art, cyber-tastic MARTYCASEY.ORG site. Cindy and Amy have been on a secret mission the last two months putting together the site so we can all have a place to touch base on a regular basis and stay connected. I wanted a site that had my personality built into it and I think that Cindy went above and beyond and got it all together. I realized over the past year of meeting so many great fans from all over the globe and I felt the need to establish a better line of communication. I am going to be an active blogger here, I am going to interact with the boards from time to time, I am going to answer questions submitted by the fans and I am gonna post personal pictures from the road, writing sessions, interesting nights around town and you know, whateva.

So, some good news for the month of December. I am going to be doing a tour through Canada with Suzie McNeil and some of the Rockers from Rockestar: Supernova. I think there will be 4 of us on the bill. I am psyched about doing this mini tour because I have never gotten to look back on the unbelievable summer of 2005 and do a special set of songs I performed on the show. There will be a House Band put together to back us and we are just gonna have a blast. I wanted to ask what songs you think I should perform. Do I do Mr. Briteside, Creep, Hit Me Baby, Take Me Out, Lithium, Wish You Were Here........? I gotta let the backing musicians know so they can brush up on the tunes. You know I am definitely gonna do Trees. That's fo show.

I know that there has been some sort of "Koo De Ta" regarding touring in the south of the states. Don't you worry, we are working on getting that together for early 2007. I am happy you are excited about seeing MC&LH and even more psyched that you protest on the boards. That is so rock n roll. If you're not happy then let me know about it. So you wanna see us in Florida and Texas and Louisiana, Carolina's, New Mexico, Cali, Vegas. We are gonna make it happen. I am thinking about adding an acoustic session to each and every tour gig on the next leg. I have some new tunes I have been working on that I want to share with you. It's different from the old stuff and I think you will dig the vibe. I kinda took what I have learned over the past year or two and tried to infuse the new songs with a stronger vision and change for the sake of growing musically. I feel good about the results and am gonna keep pushing to make the songs stronger statements of who I am. I hope you are down for the ride.

I wrote a Christmas song in June with legendary producer Marti Frederickson and MC&LH will be releasing the tune around Thanksgiving. The song is called Merry Christmas (All Year Long). The release of the song to I-Tunes will be followed by a video that we shot in Spokane, Washington. Bobby, Dino, Suzie McNeil and I spent 5 days in the frigid Northwest putting it all together. The music video is directed by 17 year-old prodigy filmmaker, Kyle Ervin. I am amazed at his work and his maturity. I wanted to give him a shot because after having a few conversations with him on the telephone, I saw how hungry he was to make an interesting piece of art anchored by the song Merry Christmas (All Year Long). He put everything he had into the video and now he is in the thick of editing and what we have seen thus far looks amazing. Stay tuned for the video.

We are in the final week of editing the DVD. We have finally decided on a title. "..... and the rest is history". It tells the story of the Lovehammers from inception in the late 80's thru Hammerjam at the Metro in October. There is a music video for Trees, live performances, interviews, backstage antics, radio interviews and most importantly all of the fans have a starring role as well. It has it all. It was amazing for the band to sit down and watch it. Made me realize how driven we have been from day one to makes some waves in the music scene. You're gonna love it!

So, without further ado: Welcome everyone to the new martycasey.org.

Marty Casey

Marty it means so much that you desire to be in touch with and interact with your fans.

Oh yes, you should do; Take Me Out, Lithium, Creep, Mr. Brightside, and Wish You Were Here. They ARE planning on you performing about an hour or so right. LOL

Coming south to Texas will be great! But either way, I will do whatever it takes to see you wherever and whenever I can.

And....I've been listening to 'Merry Christmas (All Year Long)' all evening, and again I am reminded what an amazing talent you are. Now I am looking forward to Thanksgiving more than ever.

It's beautiful! Well done, Marty, Cindy and Amy.

Marty, for your RS tour in Canada, you should most definitely do "I, Alone", That was THE most powerful performance I have ever seen anyone give. Utterly compelling! (See, Amy isn't the only one who loves that one!) :-)

"Creep" and "Mr. Brightside" are also on my list of favorites, as well as "Take Me Out". During "Take Me Out", the moment when your hat flew off and you started rocking out hard....my jaw dropped, and I said, "OMG, WHO is THAT?!" That was the moment I got hooked, and my appreciation and enthusiasm has only grown over time.

Thanks for everything, Marty!

WOW WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! WOW!!!!
"Im so excited, that I just can't take it," "I See Stars" only begins to describe how I feel about this new website!! Cindy, Amy and Marty, big props to you. This site is ultra hip and fun. Thank you all. There are no coincidences. A couple nights ago I was on the California Street Team thread saying to LASnow that we are in a lull. I'ts been a little over a month since HJ and the end of touring and I'm a little nervous - we have to get the guys into the full attention of the American public! And now this new site and everything that is a part of it is going to give all of us a boost to be more passionate about Spreading The Love. I live in MN and the only good thing about that right now is - I am close to Canada. I'll get to a show because I also can't wait to see Suzie!! I just love that woman. Put on the seatbelts, I'm ready to RIDE.

Marty,

How did you know exactly what we all needed - connection with you and LH on a regular basis! I am excited to see your new work. Please know that your work as a performance artist is great. It will be interesting to see how you incorporate existing LH with the new. As much as you are the center, I also realize that I love Dino, Bob and Billy and they complete the MCLH world. Chicago is a great place to live. Cheers!

Marty, this is all very exciting and I'm so thrilled to see what is happening for you and on the horizon. HMBOMT sounded fabu at HJ. You can sing that one anytime and make my day. Creep is a must! WAWO and Lithium...you rocked them; would be awesome to see again. Geez there isn't a bad one in the bunch. I'd love to sneak up to Canada for a show in Dec, ya never know;) Congrats to you, Amy and Cindy for doing such a kick ass job with this site. Can't wait to hear from you on the road! btw the snippets of the two new songs..sounded awesome. If I told you my reaction, I'd embarrass myself so I won't. Oh, Creep and Take Me Out for the tour. Yes, most definately! Take Care and Hammer On, Pam

First of all congratulations on the site!! You and Cindy and Amy have done a stellar job in making this place a reflection of you.

The Xmas song--->OMG! It sounds great and I can't wait to hear the entire song. New tunes? Also, can't wait to hear whatever you've got for us. So glad that you have said you want to be more in touch with us, I never tire of hearing what you have to say. And who knew you would end up being such a comedian?

As far as the "Koo De Ta"- glad you got a kick out of it; we all had a lot of fun goofing around for a couple of days. It was really an expression of our love for you and the band, and how frustrated we were when we realized you weren't continuing on down south this fall. I look forward to seeing you perform again - whenever and wherever possible (Florida!!!!!)

My vote--> Take Me Out (with fedora), I Alone (with yelling), Creep, and With Arms Wide Open....aha, you weren't considering that one were you? But whatever you choose will be wonderful.

All the best to you Marty for a loving and festive holiday season. Thank you for everything. I love it love it love it!

Even tho I won't get to see/hear u on the RS tour, I'll add my two cents re: song selection. Gotta have Take Me Out, Lithium, I Alone, WYWH, and Mr. Brightside.
You can't possible do HMBOMT -- that was too special/hilarious at HJ and surely should not be repeated!
See you on the boards!

If I had to chose, I loved your performances of "Arms Wide Open", "I Alone" and "Creep", but ANY song you chose to perform (acoustic or electric) will be a joy to those watching you. I hope to see you perform again very soon!

The new site ROCKS! It should come with a warning, though: some of the pix are too intense for anyone with a heart condition.

"Creep" and "Lithium" get my vote. And would you consider do a song that somebody else (Wil) did early on during RS? I'm thinking of "Heroes" ... I really loved "Everlong" but sometimes I wish you'd gotten "Heroes" as the fan favorite because I think you could do it really well.

Would you consider performing at the New Orleans Jazz and Music Heritage Festival (JazzFest)? It's the last weekend in April and the first weekend in May, and it attracts over 100,000 people. Very cool festival ... great vibe, great food and all sorts of really great music.

I just bought your new DVD. Hope to get it soon, but ya know.

You are a sensitive beacon in a world of total egomaniacs...Not saying that you don't have an ego, and there is NO SUCH THING as a small ego, but at least it's human and somewhat grounded *except when you climb the lightstands* compared to the a-holes out there.

Waiting for your teleporter to land you and the Hammers in Northern Cali, last time your tour manager chose Oakland ...SF is better and safer!!!

I was surpised not to hear the tone of your voice on the new CD as you had on the show performing "Mr. Briteside" & "Creep". So, they are musts! By the way, I purchased the DVD from the show, and Susie was enjoying "Hit Me Baby" so much that I think she should do it. I won't become the star you have, so I guess I should get back to homework and for graduating college in May, I want my gift to be a ticket to see you in concert!

Hi Marty, I love your CD and can't wait to see you in Ottawa. We're trying to get you to the Thirsty Toad pub, preferably with the Lovehammers. Hear you'll be in Kingston with Susie, etc. I will definitely try to get there... but please come to Ottawa with the guys!!! I know lots of people that will be so thrilled. Keep doing what you're doing. You're great.

Marty,

Dude, I actually had to figure out how to be able to leave a comment for you on here today. You had my ass crackin up reading your entries. I had such the vivid picture of your yellow "Protection" vest and your milky complextion and the whole waves pulling you under thing, looking as if you had not a damn clue what you were doing. Man, I laughed so damn hard. Then I hadn't been into your diary in awhile and I went in to read the lastest and let me say, the story you told about the random motel and the waiter...again, crackin my ass up...Dude, you can tell a story!!! It was so cool though after all that you even gave the guy a tip! NICE! Highly entertaining, funny shit! Thanks for the laughs.
Enjoying the new site, Kudos to all involved. Honored to be a part of it! Looking forward to your next story! :)

My vote is for Mr. Brightside because it's when you hooked me. Then I loved Baby Hit me one more time because you freaked at having to sing it and then when you did it, you were so intense and it worked out really great. Can you return to that vibe? ALso, one of my favs is Creep. Go get em Marty.
Love, Julie in St. Louie.

I am thrilled to hear you are considering coming to Florida. I live here in Orlando and would love to see you at Hard Rock or House of Blues. Also glad to hear you are touring with Suzie. What about Jordis??

Loved all your performances on Rockstar, which I have on DVD, but Creep, and Mr Brightside are my favorites.

Keep up the great stage theatrics and see you at the next closest concert.

Carl

It was good to read the article you actually wrote! The version that went to press was more of an advertisement for a few businesses.
On the mini tour, Creep, Wish You Were Here and Hit Me Baby would be absolutely awesome! I only wish I could get up there to see the show.
It is great to see you blogging, thanks for taking the time to do so.
Have a rockin' new year!
